James H. Ambrose ’07 
Seattle, Washington 

James H. Ambrose is a group finance manager at Microsoft Corp., where he leads the team responsible for revenue strategy and planning for Microsoft’s Azure data and artificial intelligence services. James has been with Microsoft for more than 12 years, joining the company after a stint with a nonprofit organization immediately following his graduation from William & Mary. James has been a member of the Annual Giving Board of Directors for the last five years, and currently serves as the chair of the Participation Committee. Immediately after graduating, James was a member of the Business Partners Board at the Mason School of Business. At William & Mary, James completed a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and double-majored in psychology. He and his wife, Catherine Williams Ambrose ’07, live in the Seattle metro area, where Catherine serves as the social work manager for a campus of a large regional hospital system.

“William & Mary was a transformative experience for me. In my time as a student, I learned more than I ever had, formed lifelong bonds and left knowing that I was prepared to make a positive impact on the world. Over time, I have learned that it is the people that William & Mary attracts — their talent, drive and passion to do good — that makes it such a special place. I am committed to ensuring that William & Mary not only remains strong but consistently improves, so that students from all backgrounds can continue to have transformative experiences. A strong and engaged alumni community is critical, and as a member of the William & Mary Alumni Association Board, I will work to ensure that we are meeting and exceeding the needs of our growing and diversifying alumni community.”

George Cruser ’84
Rockville, Maryland

Cruser’s William & Mary journey began in sixth grade. After an eight-hour car ride to Williamsburg, his parents let all four kids run around in the Sunken Garden. Right then, he knew that he wanted to go to W&M — ultimately, his brother and sister attended, too. With his accounting degree from W&M, Cruser began working for Coopers & Lybrand in Washington, D.C., which became PwC. When his division was sold to IBM in 2017, he retired from his first job. Now an entrepreneur, he buys and operates mental health clinics to improve patient quality, access and care. Cruser returns to W&M often for recruiting trips and has found its students are always good hires. Over the years, he has worked on admissions interviews, local chapter events and most recently with W&M fundraising committees. He is the current treasurer for the Alumni Association.

“For me, William & Mary marries its rich history with continual innovation, drawing on the old and giving birth to the new. I believe that considering the historical context as part of creating change improves its success. I hope to help the Alumni Association continue to engage in our traditions, while creating new beginnings.”

Brian J. Focarino ’11, J.D. ’15
Boston, Massachusetts

Brian Focarino is an associate at Cooley LLP in Boston, where he works with respected global brands to leverage the substantial value of their intellectual property and advises young and promising companies across industries on a full range of trademark, copyright and advertising matters. Prior to joining Cooley, he held roles in the legal departments of Google and Verizon, and at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Brian graduated from William & Mary with a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and government in 2011 and a law degree in 2015. He received his master’s degree in linguistics from the University of Edinburgh in 2012. Brian is a former member of the William & Mary Libraries Board of Directors and the Annual Giving Board of Directors.

 “Nearly 100,000 strong, William & Mary alumni are a force for good and source of community in nearly every corner of the world. Serving as a director of our Alumni Association to me means working together to advance the collective interests of a diverse and compassionate alumni body united by a common bond and dedicated to a common cause — each other.”

Glenmore “Glenne” Hines Harding ‘65
Santa Rosa, California

 After graduating from William & Mary with experimental psychology and math concentrations, Glenne joined Hewlett-Packard Company in Palo Alto, California, retiring after 33 years in management of accounting/finance, manufacturing/distribution, and marketing and paving the way for women in technology. She earned her MBA from Santa Clara University in 1973. She has been a member of Zonta International, a worldwide professional women’s service organization, since 1973, holding leadership positions at the local, district and international levels, including co-chairing the organization’s Biennial Convention Committee in 2000 and chairing the International Membership Committee from 2004-2008.  She lives in a retirement community in Santa Rosa where she has served three terms on the Resident Council and one as president. She received the Alumni Medallion in 2016 and is a member of the Chancellor’s, James Blair and Robert Boyle Legacy Societies.

 “Serving as Class of ’65 class agent for many years and on the William & Mary Annual Fund Board from 1995-1997, I learned the increasing importance of sustained alumni giving. My three terms on the Annual Giving Board and as a class ambassador have shown me how alumni engagement is a primary driver of alumni philanthropy and service, and I look forward to continuing to increase that engagement on the Alumni Association Board.”

Anna Dinwiddie Hatfield ’96
Richmond, Virginia

A marketing major, member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and the Student Alumni Liaison Council as a student, Anna has served as a board member for the Alliance of Nonprofit Excellence in Memphis, chairing their strategic planning work; the Junior Leagues of Richmond and Memphis, as fundraising and governance chairs; the Junior Board of the Children’s Hospital Foundation in Richmond; and as a deacon at Idlewild Presbyterian Church. Anna worked for Verizon as a software engineer and now is the director of special projects for St. Catherine’s School, where she manages strategic projects, process improvements and events, one of which recently won the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Gold Award for Special Events. Anna serves as a class ambassador for William & Mary. She is currently chair of the Alumni Association’s Communication Committee.

“I am incredibly grateful for my undergraduate years at William & Mary and for the Tribe community. The impact on my life is immeasurable and I am honored to support the university in any way I can. William & Mary will always be home.”

MICHAEL S. HOAK M.A. ’02
Arlington, Virginia

Michael Hoak is the associate vice president of public policy at Humana, where he is responsible for developing and executing Humana’s federal and state public policy initiatives. Since 2014, Michael has served on the W&M Graduate Studies Advisory Board, which provides funding and support for graduate programs in the Arts & Sciences. Prior to his election in 2018, he served as an ex-officio member of the W&M Alumni Association Board of Directors, representing graduate alumni, a duty he maintains as a full member of the board. He holds a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a master’s degree in history from William & Mary. Michael is a lifelong Virginia resident and currently resides in Arlington with his wife, Allison, and their daughter, Ella.

“Over one-quarter of William and Mary alumni are graduate students that did not attend the College as an undergraduate. I intend to dedicate my service on the board to engaging this historically underserved population and to ensure that the Alumni Association reflects the varied experiences of all alumni.”

Natasha Moulton-Levy ’95
West Friendship, Maryland

Natasha is the chief executive officer of Integrative Skin Center PLLC, which offers cosmetic and medical dermatology and radiology services in multiple locations around the United States. Moulton-Levy graduated with a B.A. in international relations from William & Mary and an MBA from Kogod School of Business at American University. She currently serves as a board member of multiple organizations, including the Maryland alumni chapter, Special Olympics Maryland and the Montgomery County Tennis Association. Moulton-Levy was a member of the planning committee for the Hulon Willis Association 25th Anniversary Celebration in Washington, D.C., and is a member of the Tribe Club and the Tribe Aces. 

Moulton-Levy and her husband have two children. She and her son co-authored the book "No Limits No Boundaries: My Journey through my ABCs."

"My time at William & Mary prepared me well for life both personally and professionally. One of the most meaningful aspects of the College was the community — the William & Mary family. To this day, my William & Mary community-family has only gotten stronger. I look forward to contributing to the Tribe community and creating an even more incredible William & Mary."

Hodan Seager ’18
New York, New York

Hodan Seager is currently a settlement specialist at Jane Street, a proprietary trading firm in New York City. There she primarily acts as a liaison between counterparties, brokers and clearing firms during the securities trading cycle. Previously she worked in the investment operations department of a financial advisory firm in Richmond, Virginia. She is an active member of the William & Mary Richmond Alumni Chapter, the Society of 1918 and the Admission Volunteer Network. Additionally, she serves as a class ambassador for the class of 2018. Through class ambassadors, she has been able to work closely with the Young Guarde engagement alumni staff, recently serving as a moderator for a mental health discussion for recent graduates this fall.

 “I’ve always seen William & Mary as a place that provides opportunities and experiences beyond the reach of imagination. I could never have fathomed meeting the quality of people I am still luckily surrounded with today anywhere else. There is truly a unique richness they have added, not only to my college experience but to my post graduate experience as well. I am excited to continue to enhance a strong tradition of closeness among alumni and to ensure alumni that the Tribe connection continues to hold that same weight outside of its colonial home.”
