Michael Hoak is the director of strategic policy at Humana, where he is responsible for developing and executing Humana’s federal and state public policy initiatives. Since 2014, Michael has served on the W&M Graduate Studies Advisory Board, which provides funding and support for graduate programs in the Arts & Sciences. Prior to his election in 2018, he served as an ex-officio member of the W&M Alumni Association Board of Directors, representing graduate alumni, a duty he maintains as a full member of the Board. He holds a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a master’s degree in history from William & Mary. Michael is a lifelong Virginia resident and currently resides in Arlington with his wife Allison and their daughter Ella.
