Glenn has been an investment banker in New York City since 1982, with over twenty-nine years of merger and acquisition advisory experience. From 1994 until May 2009, he was a senior banker in mergers and acquisitions with Deutsche Bank and its acquired firms, and was a member of the firm’s North American Operating Committee for the Mergers & Acquisitions Department. He also led the going private/special committee practice of the M&A department in North America. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he was the senior banker responsible for the U.S. -Japan cross-border practice at the M&A advisory boutique of James D. Wolfensohn. Mr. Crafford began his career in investment banking in 1982 with Dean Witter Reynolds, and later, he was a founding member and shareholder in the advisory boutique of Peers & Co. From 1977 to 1980, he was a Certified Public Accountant with the firm of Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Crafford received a BBA (Accounting) from The College of William & Mary (1977) and an MBA from The Darden School at the University of Virginia (1982).
As a student at William & Mary, he served as Treasurer of Kappa Alpha Order, and was a track athlete. Mr. Crafford has been a member of the Business Partners' Board of The Mason School. He was the 2007 recipient of the Howard J. Busbee Finance Academy Alumni Award. Mr. Crafford is on the board of the Spiked Shoe Society, an alumni organization chartered to support the College's track & field program. In 2009, he endowed the Glenn W. Crafford Men's Track Scholarship Fund. He previously served as Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Finance Academy Project which provided funding for a classroom at Miller Hall and ongoing funding for the Finance Academy programs. In 2005, he initiated Deutsche Bank's recruiting at the College and led the recruiting effort until his retirement from DB in 2009. Mr. Crafford designed and is the instructor at the College for Finance 492, Applied Financial Concepts. He is currently the Co-Chair of the Class of 1977 35th Reunion Gift Committee. He lives in Darien, Connecticut with his wife, Susan, and children Elizabeth, Meredith, and James. Elizabeth is a first year student at the College and a member of the women's track team. His interests include history, golf, coaching pole vaulting, and investing. Mr. Crafford is the fourth generation in his family to have attended the College.
