Pulley is vice president and associate general counsel for Verizon Communications where she is responsible for representing all of Verizon’s business units on state regulatory matters nationwide,covering areas such as next generation technologies, transactions, and broadband deployment. Before joining Verizon, Lydia was in private practice in Washington, D.C. with Wilmer Hale. Pulley began her legal career as a clerk to judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.Pulley has served on the boards of the Science Museum of Virginia Foundation, Richmond Montessori School and the YMCA of Greater Richmond. She was also a member of the Virginia Business Council and president of the VirginiaTelecommunications Industry Association.
Pulley received her B.S. in mathematics and chemistry from the College, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, president of her sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma, and a student liaison to the Board of Visitors. She attended the University of Virginia for law school, graduating as a member of the Order of the Coif. Lydia and her husband Rodney Willett ’85, J.D. ’90, have three children.
