Instilled with the idea of community outreach and support, join your fellow Atlanta Alumni on Saturday, October 22 for our first volunteer day with the Atlanta Beltline! This is a great opportunity for W&M to shine and be seen along the most popular real estate in Atlanta. Be sure to wear Green & Gold!
What to expect: Volunteers will work their way north along the trail, picking up litter, removing stickers and graffiti from structures and signs, and removing invasive weeds, as well as other specific projects as needed.
Where to meet and park: We'll meet our project leader at 9:00 AM at the corner of Dallas St and N Angier St (GoogleMaps link: https://goo.gl/maps/W8qcXmrMVRn). There is parking along both Dallas and N Angier for those who drive. If possible, please carpool with other alumni as parking can be tight.
What to wear: The only real must is close-toed shoes, as we will be walking through the foliage on either side of the BeltLine. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Gloves will be provided by Park Pride, but if you have a favorite pair of yard gloves, write your name on em and bring em along!
What to bring: Water/sports drinks, snacks, sunscreen and personal items. The Atlanta Chapter will have water bottles and treats available as well! Also, all tools and materials will be ready for you, thanks to Park Pride and the BeltLine.
This event is free to attend. Please register so we know how many alumni and guests to expect!
