Members of the Olde Guarde are welcome to attend the traditional Olde Guarde Weekend to honor the newly inducted Class of 1966, and honor those in their reunion years of 1961, 1956, 1951, 1946, and 1941.
The weekend begins on Sunday, May 1, with the Induction of the Class of 1966 on the Wren Yard at 9:30 a.m. At 4 p.m. that afternoon the celebration will kick off with a traditonal back-yard garden party at the Alumni House with music from John Spence M.Ed. '98 and Doug DeBerry M.A. '99 Ph.D. '06. Dress is casual.
In the Sadler Center on Monday, May 2, Olde Guarde Day will begin at 10 a.m. with Guest Speaker Graham Henshaw from the Mason School of Business Entrepreneurship Center. This program will be followed by the traditional Bloody Mary Reception at 11 a.m. The Olde Guarde Day Luncheon will begin at noon and will include the presentation of the Olde Guarde Distinguished Service Award.
There are room blocks available for members of the Olde Guarde at the Fairfield Inn and Suites on Richmond Road. Room blocks are reserved for Sunday and Monday evenings at the rate of $96/night. To make a reservation, call 757.645.3600 and request to be in the Olde Guarde, and refer to group code SOG. The blocks will be released after April 18th, so call early.
