Following the success of the 2016 Encuentro Latino event featuring Professor John Riofrio, the William & Mary Alumni Association is working to formally organize a group of alumni volunteers dedicated to strengthening engagement amongst our LatinX alumni. Join us for an interest meeting and discussion on Wednesday April 19 at the William & Mary Washington Center as we look at the programming and priorities for this group, and the formation of El Comité to provide guidance to the group.

This meeting is free to attend and all are invited. Feel free to bring your own dinner with you; we'll provide non-alcoholic drinks.

Working description of the LatinX Alumni Association and El Comité mission statement:
A volunteer non-hierarchical committee composed of WM alumni who self-identify as Latino, Latina, LatinX, Hispanic or Chicano working to create community among LatinX alumni. El Comité works/will work closely with faculty in the Latin American Studies Program, the Cuba Media Initiative, and the Hispanic Studies Faculty, among other Latin-American focused campus constituencies, to actively remain in touch with our Alma Mater.
