There are 18 volunteer boards within the Advancement umbrella. Six of the boards are 501(c)(3) Foundations with governance and fiduciary responsibilities; the remaining twelve are Advisory Boards. The length of terms, number of successive terms allowed, number of annual meetings and number of committee meetings vary. All boards seek to have representative ethnic, cultural and gender diversity as well as representation geographically and among graduation years. In any given year, the skills, experience and perspective sought will depend upon the existing board make up.
