Alice Givens is the SVP, chief legal officer and corporate secretary for LL Flooring Holdings, Inc., based in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to joining LL Flooring, Alice was general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary for Ruth's Hospitality Group, Inc., parent company of Ruth's Chris Steak House, based in Orlando, Florida, from February 2016 to September 2020. Prior to that, she was VP, associate general counsel at J.Crew Group, Inc. in New York City where she focused on securities, corporate governance and general corporate matters from 2007 to January 2016. Prior to joining J.Crew, Alice held various legal and compliance roles with Circuit City Stores, Inc. in Richmond, Virginia, for over 10 years.
Alice has been active in the Orlando and New York City William & Mary Alumni Chapters. She hosted the Orlando Yule Log ceremony at her home in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and participated in a number of Orlando Alumni Chapter while living in Florida. While living in NYC, Alice hosted several alumni events and attended the NYC auction. Alice served on the W&M Annual Giving Board from 2008-2014; served on her reunion class gift committees for the 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th reunions and co-chaired two of those reunion committees. In 2018, Alice established an endowed need-based scholarship in memory of her grandmother, Louise Givens, who was a member of the Class of 1938.
