Alumni Association signature events bring together alumni, family and friends to celebrate William & Mary on campus and beyond. From tailgates and yule logs to reunions, these special events meld William & Mary traditions with new programs for one-of-a-kind experiences.

Homecoming & Reunion Weekend

Every October, all roads lead home as alumni and friends gather on campus for Homecoming & Reunion Weekend. Featuring more than 170 events, including reunions, the Homecoming tailgating and football game, there are plenty of opportunities to fall in love with William & Mary all over again.

Charter Day Weekend

Celebrating the birth of William & Mary by Royal Charter, Charter Day festivities involve students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as the local community. In addition to the Charter Day Ceremony at Kaplan Arena, other highlights of the weekend will include the Lord Botetourt Affair, the Alumni Medallion Ceremony, the James Blair Society Reception and the Charter Day Dinner.

Traditions Weekend

Traditions Weekend honors three distinguished groups in the William & Mary community — the 50th Reunion Class, the Olde Guarde and the Boyle Legacy Society. This customized experience includes engaging programming and special events to build on the traditions alumni, parents and friends hold dear while reconnecting members with each other and the campus today.

Commencement Weekend

In addition to awarding Student Academic Prizes, welcoming new graduates in the Alumni Induction Ceremony and honoring W&M families at the Legacy Brunch, the Alumni Association hosts the annual Honorary Alumni Ceremony, recognizing exceptional individuals who have a distinguished record of service, support, advocacy and commitment on behalf of William & Mary.

W&M Weekend

W&M Weekend brings together the Tribe faithful for one extraordinary weekend every year in a spectacular host city. Showcasing the best of William & Mary and the best of the host city, W&M Weekend offers opportunities for alumni, parents and friends to connect, discover and celebrate. Previous William & Mary Weekends have been hosted in Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C.

W&M Women's Weekend

In 2018-19, the Tribe community celebrated 100 years of women at William & Mary. To commemorate this milestone, the university hosted its first- ever W&M Women’s Weekend. William & Mary women filled campus over the weekend and participated in activities and programs that were inspiring and empowering.
