Jim Taylor is the current Chair of the Olde Guarde Council, and an ex-officio member of the WMAA Board of Directors. Following his graduation in 1969, Jim received an MBA from Miami University in 1971 and then fulfilled his ROTC commitment by serving as an Army officer (Field Artillery) for 4 years in Oklahoma and Vicenza, Italy. His business career focused on commercial real estate brokerage and management for American Hospital Supply, LaSalle Partners (Jones Lang LaSalle), Chicago Title and Trust and the Northern Trust Company, and included development of major domestic and international projects.
Jim and his wife Ronnee (also ‘69) have served in a variety of leadership roles for W&M, including the former Fund for William and Mary, the Swem Library Board, regional networks in Chicago and Virginia’s Northern Neck, and Class Reunion Committees. Jim and Ronnee currently split time between homes in the Chicago area and in the Northern Neck.
