Roxane O. Adler Hickey is hosting the Sicily, Malta, & Amalfi Coast cruise from June 27th to July 5th, 2025.
She has been leading the William & Mary Washington Center as its Director since 2019, guiding the center with a strategic vision that encompasses innovation, engagement, and collaboration. She first joined the center in 2006 as a Program Director and played a crucial role in designing and building additional academic and experiential learning programs. In her current role, Roxane is pivotal in fostering partnerships both on campus and within the Washington, D.C. area, managing the board, and spearheading fundraising initiatives. Her commitment to education and student development is evident in her teaching; she instructs courses in leadership, experiential learning, internships, and reflection as part of the Study in D.C. programs.
Roxane's academic journey began at Bucknell University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree. She continued to build her expertise in education at the William & Mary School of Education, achieving both a Master of Education and a Doctor of Education in Educational Policy, Planning, & Leadership, with a specialization in Higher Education Administration. Her dissertation, which delved into experiential learning, internship programs, and career readiness, underscores her dedication to preparing students for professional success.
Residing in Northern Virginia, Roxane balances her professional endeavors with her family life, including her husband and two children. Her work at the William & Mary Washington Center continues to impact the lives of students, fostering a bridge between academic theory and real-world application.
