Band: Fellowcraft - Brandon Williams, Zach Martin, JR MacDonald, and Pablo Anton-Diaz
Washington, D.C.

Fellowcraft is a two-time Wammie (Washington, D.C. “local Grammy”) award-winning group from our nation’s capital. JR MacDonald (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) started the project in 2014 and was quickly joined by Brandon Williams (bass, back-up vocals, and importantly – W&M class of ’07) in June 2015. The group honed its sound and found its final incarnation with the addition of Pablo Anton (lead guitar, back-up vocals) and Zach Martin (drums) in early 2019. The sheer chemistry between the four musicians has resulted in a powerful and sincere songcraft that falls within the great tradition of American Rock. Their latest album shows an evolution from bluesy rock to more progressive metal. In addition to being nominated and winning local awards, Fellowcraft has realized several other dreams, including opening for Rainbow Kitten Surprise, playing the historic 9:30 Club in D.C. and performing at festivals internationally alongside the likes of Static-X, Amon Amarth and Deep Purple.

W&M afforded me the opportunity to pursue music as an extracurricular activity. After a year in band, practicing downstairs in Ewell, I was able to record in a professional studio with a cappella group (DoubleTake). As I transitioned out of a cappella, I was able to perform with world-class singers in the theater program (without even being a major)! I had unforgettable experiences on the mainstage, including one with Gary Green’s friend Lee who choreographed for and performed on Broadway. I also saw various friends get involved in bands and ultimately found my way back to it when my career left me without the opportunity to perform full musical theater productions after my move to D.C. in 2010
