Patti O'Meara '20

Patti is a pianist who double majored in music and psychology. She won the William & Mary Concerto Competition in 2018 and played the first movement of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the William & Mary Symphony Orchestra. During her time on campus, she did a lot of accompaniment, including playing for voice lessons, Opera Workshop, many student homebrew performances, an erhu performance and the Botetourt Chamber Singers Gala, along with playing with the Wham Bam Big Band. She was heavily involved with theater as well, serving as Vocal Director for Sinfonicron Light Opera Company from 2018-2020, music director and pianist for two senior directorials and keyboard player for various theatrical productions. Patti is currently living in New York City and pursuing a master's degree in school psychology at Teachers College at Columbia University, while teaching piano lessons and picking up various performance and music direction opportunities along the way.

I absolutely loved my music experience at W&M. I'm so grateful for all of the opportunities I had to collaborate with such a variety of talented people. I don't think I would be the person I am today without the people I met, created with, learned from and befriended doing music things in college, and it's a time in my life I truly treasure.
