The Restless was formed from members of a worship band that I was leading in Vienna, Virginia. We formed in 2012 and had our first concert in 2013. We released a self-titled EP in 2015 and our first full-length album in 2019 at Jammin Java in Vienna. We’ve played high-energy concerts for community festivals and church events, and we seek to uplift and share joy with every audience.
From the moment we stepped on campus, we loved the College's commitment to music. We especially loved the support and opportunities William & Mary gave the many diverse a cappella groups. I had never sung as part of a group before college, but I knew I wanted to join the a cappella family. I started lessons with Martha Connolly my first semester and studied under her for all four years. In my second semester, I auditioned for and joined One Accord. Some of my best memories of W&M are from my time performing with One Accord at William & Mary Sings, Wren 10s, and in the Wren Chapel and Great Hall. The W&M community was always incredibly supportive and the opportunity made me a better singer and performer. Jessica also sang all four years in the William & Mary Women's Chorus, inspired like countless others by Jamie Bartlett and Jamie Armstrong!
